The State of Florida requires all Class “G” security, investigators and managers to re-qualify annually prior to the license expiration / anniversary date. The Re-Qualification course is designed to test the licensee’s proficiency with the firearm, and instructed in firearms safety, the principles of marksmanship, firearms mechanics, liability, loading and unloading, the 4- step draw and clearing malfunctions and any changes of regulations or the Laws.

All course materials will be in compliance with Florida Statutes 493 and Florida Administrative Code legal guidelines 5N-1.

The State of Florida requires security officers who hold a Class G License to re-qualify
annually at the range and receive instruction for a total of 4 hours of instruction and

testing as an Armed Security Officer Class “G” license. We offer the Class “G” re-
qualification training course Monday – Friday from 9am-5pm. Weekend classes available.

The Certificate of Proficiency will be issued after successfully completing this course and must be submitted to the Department of Agriculture, Division of Licensing by the Licensee upon completion annually.
